Easter decor doesn’t always have to be full of pink and pastels to be cute. I made these modern wood bunny eggs for Easter and I think they are so darn adorable! They are easy to make with just a few supplies and are even a cute craft the kids can make! I chose to leave mine a little more simple, but some whiskers and a pom pom bunny nose would be really sweet too! These wood egg bunnies are fun on their own for decor or use them as table place cards by writing your guests name across the front in calligraphy with a paint pen. To make this Easter craft project you’ll need: Wood craft eggs Whi ..read more

Old-Fashioned Peony Flowers

It’s almost peony time and that’s a spring flower I get very excited for! I am blessed to have one of my grandmother’s old-fashioned peony flowers growing in my yard. It gives me some beautiful flowers every spring and I can’t help picking some and putting them in my house for a bit of color. As an heirloom variety they smell amazing. I love how they fill the room with color and fragrance! They are fairly low maintenance to grow, and don’t need much care. I love  filling vases with the blossoms since they are only here for a short time (only 7-10 days!) ! I love how they look in vintage ..read more

When creating the most recent store display, I wanted to have something hang from above  that was light and whimsical. I had already created the coffee filter bunny and had a lot of them left over. I loved the idea of creating a lily of the valley or something that resembled a more bell-shaped flower with the petals hanging down by making paper coffee filter flowers, I love how light and airy they are. They are the perfect addition the spring display in the store and just need a few simple supplies! Supplies to create the coffee filter flowers, you’ll need: White coffee filters Green fl ..read more

Decorating with Glass Cloche Ideas

Are you obsessed with cloches? I am! Everything looks good under a cloche. Stack of cups? Put them under  cloche…vintage papers…vintage clock, under a cloche. I once got into an argument with an 85 year-old lady I worked with over whether it was called a cloche or a bell jar. Actually, either name is correct. I didn’t want to tell her  cloche is French for bell. Cloches were traditionally used like mini-greenhouses, to help create a micro-climate for seedlings and plants that needed protection from the weather. They can still be used for that purpose, but they are now also decorative ..read more

<Disclaimer:I received free DecoArt DecoEarth Paints to try out for this post. Opinions are entirely my own.> I had a wood bowl I picked up at Goodwill that originally bought because I loved the shape and the gingko leaves carved in the bottom. I thought I would clean up the finish and use it around my home. After getting it home I realized the gingko leaves were just decals on the bottom and the wood was a little more beaten up than I thought. It was due for a makeover for sure! When I received DecoArt DecoEarth paints to try I knew this was the perfect project to use them on and I ..read more
