Toyota has released details on the Tacoma Hybrid, showing it will start at $47,795 as part of the TRD Sport trim. While that’s nearly $7,000 more than the gasoline variant of the TRD Sport, it does come equipped with the more powerful i-Force Max powertrain. That unit offers a combined total of 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, a significant improvement over the gasoline-only models. Aftermarket car parts are a huge business, with hundreds of niche companies selling vehicle- and application- specific upgrades and merchandise. They can be pricey, though, and like anything expensive, there can be a dark side to the business. Rivian sells two compelling EVs that have garnered a good deal of happy customers, but they’re far from affordable. At around $70,000 to start, the brand’s R1T pickup and R1S SUV are out of reach for most buyers, even after the $3,750 federal tax credits for some models. The automaker is taking steps – small ones, to be fair – to make its vehicles more affordable, though, knocking up to $5,000 off some configurations. Workers at the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, voted to unionize on Friday. But the UAW won't stop there. According to Reuters, next up for the UAW is a mid-May vote to unionize at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Alabama. It might be a tougher fight for the union, since, as Reuters points out, Mercedes-Benz is being more anti-union than Volkswagen was. VW was pretty neutral, but MB is making anti-union arguments to its workers. On the other hand, the results at VW were pretty decisively pro-union. Once again, our UCOTD is a wagon. What can we say, we love wagons. In this case, it's a 1994 Mercedes-Benz E320 wagon. Our seller says it runs well but has a little bit of rust. There also appears to a possible exhaust leak and the seller plans to install a new wiring harness. It looks like our seller has done a ton of work -- or paid to have it done -- recently.
