Welcome to my stop on the Art Gallery Bountiful Holiday Blog Tour! Sharon Holland created a beautiful fabric line, and I was lucky to be able to participate.  This print is beautiful! The blue matches her eyes.  I sewed up some of her knit. Art Gallery knit is my favorite! Such good quality. Doesn't fade or stretch weird. Love it.  This little girl loves the "cold shoulder" look. She loves dresses and skirts and has worn this a ton already. Again, good quality, no fading.  Circle skirts get all the heart eyes! She is working on her fashion blogging pose ..read more

Today is my stop on the Weekend Quilting blog tour. Weekend Quilting is a great new book from Jemima Flendt of Tied with a ribbon. It is a great book with tons of projects, and many small projects which is great for me these summer days when I don't feel I can get big projects done.  I got my fabric from Willow Cottage Quilt Co, it is the new Tilda fabric line, Circus. The fabric is pretty precious, and it was a bit hard to cut into it. I am glad I did though! My finished project! This darling little bunting. Just a sweet and easy project. Easy to follow instructions. And I L ..read more

Quilt Story

Are you following along Fat Quarter Shop's Bella Skill Builders? This month was PINEAPPLE BLOCKS! I was so excited to try pineapple blocks! And now I want to make an entire quilt with them. Pinks and blues and grays for this quilt. I'm really excited to see how this quilt will come together, so different than anything I've ever done. It is rotary cut (no paper piecing) but I did use a special Pineapple Block ruler that I got from FQS. It's the only way I've made it but it wasn't hard so I'm saying it's the way to go! You can look at the past few posts to see part 1 and 2. And chec ..read more

Oh how I love this new Fig Tree and Co fabric line, Coney Island. The prints are just so pretty. Darling florals. And the colors, navy, coral, yellow, soft apple green, just go so well together! I will not ever square up half square triangles without Bloc-loc rulers, and a rotary mat, a good spinning one like this, its called Matilda (no endorsements, just LOVE these products) Don't you love these fabric combinations? And the pretty pretty flowers? I should have a pattern ready at the end of April, I am really happy with this one! Hope you like the sneak peak ..read more

Mischief Quilt from DIY addict. English Paper Piecing
Quilt Story

Heather here. I have started my Mischief quilt. Its an English paper piecing kit, I got from The DIY Addict . I love the kit, templates, paper pieces, and pattern. I am pretty sure I will never cut my own paper pieces. Here are the six I have finished.  So, fussy cutting takes significantly longer, but I think my blocks are significantly cuter, so I will keep at it. It also wastes A LOT of fabric, but as long as I am resourceful with my scraps, I don't think this will be a big issue... Seeing all the cute bears and fish and animals makes me happy everytime I look at these ..read more

Bella Skill Builder Pt 2
Quilt Story

Bella Skills Builder Part 2, Orange Peels! I tried really hard to place these perfectly on each square, even so they are definitely not perfect. (Fat Quarter Shop is hosting a monthly skill building pattern. You'll finish a few blocks per month of a certain skill, see the bottom for the full quilt) I used Fat Quarter Shop's template and they are raw edge, using a temporary iron-on adhesive and stitched down. It's really hard to get a good pic of the colors. The pink is so soft and the darker color is a fuchsia/wine and not as bright as it appears. It was really hard to choose a solids colo ..read more

It's been a long time since we blogged to blog! We've talked, as sisters, and we're ready to remedy that! So don't give up on us! We're excited to elaborate more on our Instagram projects. First up, my Strawberry quilt!!! How can these sweet quilt not take center stage?! I used the pattern Strawberry Social from Pattern Basket. If you google that it will come right up. I used a larger variety of prints than the pattern suggests and didn't add a border since I wanted mine a little smaller. I used the dot from the line "Hello Bear" by Bonnie Christine for Art Gallery Fabrics, I think ..read more
