Hey Folks! Last night was a bit of an odd night. We got started a bit later than normal and I also did not sleep for shit Tuesday night… which put me in a bit of a funk. Good Morning Friends! Yesterday was the raid reset night for Final Fantasy XIV and with it came a visit back to my main character over on Cactuar. It is funny… I don’t really mind playing a Roegadyn until I spend time on my Lalafell. I am pretty sure once we hit level 100 and our “dare” is over… I am going to Fantasia my Kraken character to some sort of a Lala. Good Morning Friends. It has been a few days since I last gave an update on our progress on the Dynamis server Kraken. Once again fair warning that I am going to talk about spoilers for ARR and Heavensward during this blog post, so be forewarned. The first thing that honestly shocks me is how fast we ripped through Heavensward. Hey Folks! On Thursday we had the reveal stream for Path of Exile Settlers of Kalguur aka 3.25 and it was nonsense. The patch notes are over 30,000 words long and involve some big shakeups to existing metas. The biggest thing is that melee may now be back on the menu because all melee-focused abilities essentially got their damage at least doubled. Detonate Dead which was a massive meta ability last league, is essentially dead now… Raider was deleted as an ascendancy and turned into Warden, and my favorite bow ascendancy Champion is far less powerful. Morning Folks! Since I spent all day yesterday talking about my Summoner, I figured this morning I would talk a bit about our progress on Kraken characters. Good Morning Friends! I’m now starting to feel like I am actually rolling on Summoner. Yesterday I pushed it through to level 93 after running beast tribe dailies and then PVP, Main Story, Trial, and Alliance Raid roulettes. I got one of the Nier raids which was pretty awful and takes for freaking ever to clear… but I stuck with it. I do not love having cast times folks. Everything else about being a Summoner I am pretty on board with, but cast times are butts. Good Morning Friends! I had a pretty early night last night and turned in around 8:30, so did not make a ton of progress. I did however get my Summoner to level 90 like I thought I would, and made it up to Titan on my Kraken Warrior which we will run first thing this evening. I like Summoner quite a bit, way more than I thought I would at this time. The only annoyance is the casting times, and needing to interrupt them in order to move out of things.
