Synopsis: Red starts a club but it’s taken over by Gobo, so she starts a different one with Cottorpin Doozer. Catchy songs are sung.
Original airdate: March 26, 1984
One and one and one are three, can you sing as high as me? One and one are only two, I can sing as high as you! I’M THE ONE THAT WON!
Ahem, sorry. I’ve had that song in my head for a week.
I’ve never been a big fan of clubs in general. They always feel a little discriminatory, they feel a little pointless, and at the end of the day if you want to hang out, do you really need a club for that? I mean, there are clubs designed to h ..read more

Despite what today’s conservatives might pretend, Sesame Street has always been a show about diversity. As the show continued, more characters from more minority groups were added, both humans like Linda and Maria and Muppets like Rosita and Julia. Sesame Workshop made itself clear: diversity mattered.
Nowadays, the show has been further spotlighting diversity with the recent, rapid addition of various Muppe ..read more

Doc and Sprocket better not mind some creatures coming out of that hole in the wall, because the Fraggles are hitting the road in a brand-new live theatrical production debuting in 2025!
Fraggle Rock LIVE, written and directed by the recently-minted Creative Supervisor of Fraggle Rock John Tartaglia, will feature walk-around versions of the Fraggles, along with puppet-sized Doozers and “appearances” by the Gorgs, along with new characters we haven’t met yet. And because of course it’s a Fraggle production, there’ll be songs and neat special effects to bring the world of Fraggle Rock to life ..read more

Meanwhile, at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, scientists have discovered a 270 million-year-old fossil that looks like a distant cousin of a certain familiar frog.
I won’t claim to know anything about fossils or evolution or sciencey facts, but it seems that this new discovery is a missing link in the evolution of the modern amphibian. And because – according to the scientists – it sort of looks like Kermit, they’ve named it Kermitops gratus.

Well, it’s been 10 years since The Muppets did it all again with Muppets Most Wanted! Cast your mind back to 2014. Do you remember your initial thoughts when the film was released?
MATTHEW SOBERMAN: I remember thinking, “finally, a post-Jim era film cracks my top three favorite Muppet movies.”
