Sevilla->Granada: Trains/Times?
We'll be in Andalucia in late August/early September and will be traveling from Sevilla to Granada. I like to book things in advance, so I'm trying to book us a train, but am getting what appear to be contrary results. The various sites I've been to for information (Rome2Rio, RailEurope, and the Renfe timetables themselves) seem to indicate that the train from Sevilla to Granada should take about 2.5 hours. However, when I actually get down to booking the train, the 2.5-hour option is missing; I only see options ranging from 3.5 to 5+ hours.
The date I'm trying to pick is a Sunday. Experimenting, I looked at various Sundays in June/July, and they all showed the 2.5-hour train -- it was only the trains in late August/early September that eliminated this option. So my questions are:

- Am I trying to book too far in advance -- should I wait another month or two?
- Is Sunday a weird day for the Sevilla->Granada train?
- Do they stop running the higher-speed trains at the end of the summer/beginning of fall?
- If there's no viable option to get the 2.5-hour train, are there better options for getting from Seville to Granada?
