Naples and Ischia Restaurant Recommendations
My husband and I will be in Naples and Ischia this June and I am hearing that things are booking up very early with so much travel this year. Does anyone have any great recommendations for restaurants in either of the above locations? Lunch or dinner musts? Appreciate any and all suggestions.

These are from five years ago.
Ischia:
La Sciantsca, right by the water, great dinner and a wonderful lunch of Bruschetta & a glass of wine for 5.50 Euro. So good, Ischia is known for their cherry tomatoes.
La Bussola, I think right next door, Peppered Mussels, another specialty.
Naples:
Antica Port'Alba, street is off the southwestern corner of Piazza Bellini, the best pizza you will ever eat!
A Casa R'A Signora, on the eastern side of Piazza Bellini, delicious appetizer of Fried Fennel (light batter like frito misto), I went back a second time just to have that appetizer, the rest of the meal good as well.
DO NOT go to l'Etto. It's a buffet, and I didn't realize that they take your plate of food and put it in the microwave to warm it up! Pretty bad!
Ischia:

I was in Ischia in February, 2022. It was decidedly off season, but that didn’t prevent me from having a wonderful, albeit brief time on the island. One of my favorite meals ever was in an unassuming little place called Pane e Vino. I blogged about here. I’ll be back in Ischia in August and would happily dine there again.

Naples- Cantina di via Sapienza
I highly recommend the Cantina di via Sapienza in Naples near the Archeological Museum. Here is their information: La Cantina di via Sapienza, Via Sapienza, 40-41 Naples,Tel. +39 081 459078, Hours: Mon-Sat, 12:30pm-3pm. Very local place full of doctors from the nearby hospital. We stop for lunch when we are in Naples visiting the in-laws. Local specialties, very reasonable prices so you can try lots of sides.

Hi jglags - I booked our place in Panza, Forio in February and selected it because I wanted to be on the west side of the island for sunsets. 
There seems to be far less availability (at greater cost) now on Airbnb. We'll be on the Island for 4 nights in early August and paid less than $500 total for a 2 bedroom apartment. When I was on Ischia last year, I stayed here and was very comfortable for the night. The location (walking distance from Ischia Port) was good and the breakfast, which was included, was great. I also had a massage in their spa and was thrilled with the service. It was decidedly off season then and the prices reflected that - it'll be more expensive in August for sure. I'm not an Ischia expert, but what are you seeking in accommodations and for how many people? I generally only book places that have a minimum of 7 or 8 reviews and are accessible with public transit/by foot. Our island time will be very languid and relaxed - we're not looking to do much beyond beach, eat, drink and soak it all in.

We will eventually post a substantial TR/foto essay on our recent (March) Amalfi coast visit, which saw us based in Minori and then *Ischia Ponte. In both locales we did many daytrips.
Ischia eats:
-move heaven and earth to eat at 'Aglio, Olio e Pomodoro'; outstanding food and VG service in a good location (ie stroll the 'bridge' area and/or actually go up to visit the nearby Castle) *added value: cool bookstore 'Imagaenaria' is next door
-Vittoria Gran Caffe offers an excellent variety of pastries inside or out.
-in the 'Porto' main port/harbour's Riva destre/Right bank--'Un attimo di Vino' is a unique experience in that Sicilian-born owner chef Raimondo makes an extra effort to match vines and his dishes.
-back in Ponte...'BisBoccia' is owned and run by the same family that has run the bakery/mini-supermarket across the way for decades; VG food; enclosed during colder months.
*be sure to visit the nearby isle of Procida (15 min ferry) and dine there on their iconic little harbor, the one shown in the movie 'Il Postino'; truly a must.

We did not pay too too much in Minori but chose to splurge as never before in Ischia Ponte. So glad we did.
'Exclusive Home Ischia' is a family-run pair of adjoining modern apartments in Ischia Ponte. The Contes have appointed their lovely daughter Gabriella as their main contact, and her brother Pierre-Mario also assists. We rented the spotless unit called 'Aquamarina', which had an outdoors hot tub. Shutterbugs note: that unit has the single most awesome view of the castle, world-class by any measure!! Fans of 'My Brilliant Friend' take note, that some scenes were shot in the courtyard.
Its an excellent location for restaurants, buses, ATMs, groceries, shopping, pharmacy, beaches, visiting the Castle and more. The Contes will spoil you, trust me.
Again, uncheap but worth every penny. The sound of waves just below...that view. Sigh...
