Wheelchair for transiting CDG airport

If you arrange with your airline ahead of time, how dependable is wheelchair assistance at CDG airport? My husband has some hip issues and is unable to walk very far. I am trying to make sure that we will be able to get from one gate to another (terminal E to terminal F). We have done this in the past but he was able to walk; we are aware that it is quite a distance. We welcome any helpful suggestions. Thank you in advance.

I used the wheelchair service for my mother in both CDG and Orly. It was excellent.

The last time we used it at CDG was before Covid but it was very reliable. I would add we find the European airports in general have excellent wheelchair assistance services (recent post Covid experiences) - better than NA.

I needed wheelchair assistance after an injury in Paris. We called the airline (AF) prior to the flight and all went smoothly.
