Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game has been announced by CMOM.

In case you didn’t know, CMON has developed a lot of fun tabletop games including Zombicide, Marvel United, Bloodborne: The Board Game, and Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City to name but a few.

“In this cooperative game designed by Emerson Matsuuchi and illustrated by Marco Checchetto, players take on the role of their favourite video game characters and experience stealthy gameplay and intricate storylines,” reads the official description.

“The VR Mission Book contains six independent Missions that can be played at any moment with any player count. For an additional challenge, players can also choose to experience the Shadow Moses campaign, playing across a 14 Mission-campaign.”

Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game includes:

  • 4 player character miniatures
  • 5 boss miniatures
  • 12 patrol miniatures
  • 1 Meryl disguise miniature
  • 2 cardboard box miniatures
  • 14 double-sided tiles
  • 4 player dashboards
  • 4 boss dashboards
  • 1 patrol dashboard
  • 176 cards, and 184 tokens.

What’s more, if you pre-order now via the CMON website, not only will you save $10 off the $110 RRP, but you’ll also be upgraded with the ‘Integral Edition’ which includes a Metal Gear REX or a 109-page graphic novel.

Pre-orders are expected to stay live for about a month from the publishing of this article and the game is expected to ship around May 2024.

Oh, and we were also treated to the reveal of the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake at the PlayStation Showcase! So much MGS goodness!
