Experience with Aeromexico?
Hi all,
I am working on our Christmas trip from Los Angeles to Mexico City and am finding better airfare with Aeromexico than Delta or American. We will buy refundable tickets.
Does anyone have any experience with Aeromexico? I am most concerned about getting my money back IF, indeed, we have to cancel this trip. The ticket is a Classica Flex and it states it is fully refundable on their website.
Any other issues or concerns with Aeromexico?
Thank you!

Haven't flown with them in a couple years but did so fairly often in the past. Never had any problems and in fact found the level of service superior to most US carriers. If you are worried about a refund, be sure to take a screenshot of the fare rules and keep it in the unlikely event you have to do a credit card dispute.

Went to delta and checked the Refundable box, searched the same date and got the exact same fare on the same Aeromexico flight.
I know that if I booked a non-refundable ticket at delta dot com and cancelled it days later then I would get a credit with delta. I can use a credit on Delta. The only drawback is that the credit will expire one year from the purchase date (so, if I book today for a trip in December and then cancel in December before the departure date the credit is only good to next June).
What happens if I book with aeromexico and cancel a non-refundable ticket? Do I get a credit with AM? A credit with them would be much less useful to me than a Delta credit.
