One of Sydney's highest esteemed and most sought after photography studios SUNSTUDIOS has announced its SUNSTUDIOS Emerging Photographer Award 2021 winners.
Once again this year, the annual photography awards took place; calling forward all young creatives and new and emerging photographers to submit under this years theme exploring categories of Faces and Places. With the theme announced all photographers and videographers were invited to explore whatever their hearts desired; from portraiture, fashion, documentary to landscapes, travel and architecture.

SUNSTUDIOS received over 1600 submissions this year from all around Australia. And from these 1600, 40 finalists were selected before being narrowed down to four winners across two categories; photography and videography. And so - who exactly were this years winners?
The talented winners of this years SUNSTUDIOS Emerging Photography Awards included none other than photographers James Malone for his submission No Face, only a dark place, Ryan Cantwell with Close Comfort, Distant Trouble, and videographers Jonathan McIntyre for Faces Just Appreciate and Ryan Andrew-Lee for Wonnarua.

And this year, for the judging panel it was a tough one. For 2021 called for the biggest year so far in the way of the number of applicants. With a key member of the judging panel, photographer Georges Antoni commenting, "There is an amazing depth of Australian young talent in photography at the moment – and a sophisticated approach."
All of this years winners took home the prize of $6000 in SUNSTUDIOS creative services as well as the priceless accolade of joining the SUNSTUDIOS Emerging Photographer Awards winners hall of fame. SUNSTUDIOS have also opened up community voting for its People's Choice Awards, closing on November 15th with the winner to be announced on 17th November.
