Tuesday Things.
1. Making back-to-school make-your-own-pizza night a thing!
2. Smoked salmon tartine is everything I want in life.
3. Max has always adored school but this year he is sad to be away from Jordan all day. It’s so sad but so sweet! So I used my mini printer and printed off a bunch of pictures of them together and some of Jordan alone. I stuck them in his lunchbox, his backpack and basically anywhere he opens things through the day so he can see him!
4. Things to do while watching TV. I love this!! I never just “watch” TV, which Eddie hates because then I inevitably end up missing things. But I’m always either editing photos or doing some sort of work, folding laundry or recipe and meal planning.
5. Speaking of, TV things!! I’m currently watching Nine Perfect Strangers! Have had to start it over twice (um, see above) but am liking it.
6. Officially ready for pumpkin everything. Even though I only like very lightly spiced pumpkin.
7. We saw the Paw Patrol movie last week and oh my gosh, it was SO cute. We have since been watching it constantly on paramount+ but the kicker is that the music is also amazing. The good mood song by Adam Levine? Obsessed.
8. How to reduce the “have tos” in life.
9. Inspired by a recent cup of jo post – what is your favorite hostess gift to give people?

Kind of boring and expected, but recently I’ve been gifting my current favorite sparkling wine.. It’s one of those things that I can always have an extra around to grab at the last minute.
Ah Jessica, this post isn’t showing up when I go to your Crumbs page! I found it via your Instastory. Just FYI, people might not be seeing it!
For hostess gifts, I do the easy bottle of wine and add in a cozy season appropriate candle. But depending on the relationship (and how willing I am), I might bake some cookies or a banana/zucchini/etc bread.
My go to hostess gift is a bottle of my current favorite wine and witty cocktail napkins
I recently started watching the Other 2 which is pretty good and rewatching The Nanny for the umpteenth time.  As a couple we watch Shameless. We have a strict no phones in the family room policy which has helped tremendously to focus and pay attention as well as be more present with each other  (I have an Apple Watch and my husbands ringer is always on so if there is an emergency we can respond!)Â
My favorite hostess gift is wine or coffee w/ a cute coffee scoop tied to it.
I love to gift homemade cookies (sometimes a frozen log or balls of dough so they can bake them off as needed) or a seasonal candle. Or fresh flowers, but only with a vase; I hate giving the host a job of finding a vase and trimming stems when they’re already busy! I’ve loved receiving speciality olive oils and vinegars.
As someone who doesn’t drink alcohol (alcohol is such a waste of brain cells, time and money!), I’d be so disappointed if I received wine as a hostess gift. I like the oils and vinegars that someone mentioned, or maybe some fancy spices, since I never bother buying those things myself.
But it is worth keeping in mind that not everyone drinks, for one reason or another. I don’t have a problem with alcohol, but I can imagine if being an addict, receiving alcohol might be problematic. You don’t always know what people are going through.Â
