Rob Zombie Shares Pre-Production Photo And Video From THE MUNSTERS

Rob Zombie is back again to share more details of his pre-production journey for The Munsters. The director took to Instagram, this time to share an image of the grounds where his team is building the Mockingbird Lane set.

While a wholesome property like The Munsters might not immediately scream Rob Zombie, fans of the musician will know that he’s a true blue Munsters-head. He’s proclaimed his love of the show countless times and is even featured on the Scream Factory audio-commentary for their Munsters, Go Home! release.

Zombie has been actively working on The Munsters since he landed in Budapest last month. Since then, we’ve been privy to a ton of behind-the-scenes designs. These include Grampa Munster’s wig, costume design illustrations, and even the actual blueprints for Mockingbird Lane itself.

Now Zombie has shared an image of The Munsters filming site and a short video!

Check them out:

It’s safe to assume that Rob Zombie is sticking as close to the original property as possible. Every single detail that he’s shared has been a near-exact replica of what was seen in the original television series! While the original series only lasted for two seasons, it produced a number of television specials, spin-offs and features over the past sixty years.

Zombie’s Munsters will mark the first film in the franchise since the 1966 production Munsters, Go Home!

The original cast of The Munsters featured Fred Gwynne, Yvonne de Carlo, Beverly Owen, Butch Patrick and Al Lewis as Grandpa Munster. Together the group played the average nuclear American family. Except for the fact that they were literal monsters!
